Exploring Worlds

       A BIT ABOUT ME...

A native of Bolton, England, I'm an award-winning writer of science fiction, steampunk and historical fiction. 2012 is my fourth year in the rollercoaster world of  digital publishing (hint: don't look down, except when upside down).  In my previous lives, I served (smuggled) popcorn in a cinema, mis-filed much as a public servant, and walked away with a Film Studies degree. I've visited America, Greece, Spain, Scotland and other alien planets. To date, my publishers include Samhain Publishing, Carina Press, Eternal Press, Uncial Press, and Amber Quill Press. My ambition is to have an ambition. So far, it's all with the tide.

In addition to writing, I enjoy football, kayaking, and especially going to the cinema. Steven Spielberg and Oliver Stone are my fave directors. Ralph Fiennes and Jodie Foster rock the acting world. On TV, The West Wing is light years ahead of pretty much everything else, but I'm also a  fan of Lost, House, Boston Legal, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: TNG, Firefly, and Deadwood.

My favourite writers include H. Rider Haggard, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Patrick O'Brian, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Richard Matheson, Ian Fleming, Evelyn Waugh, Stephen King, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Alfred Bester. Recent books I've enjoyed include Duma Key (Stephen King) and The Iron Duke (Meljean Brook).

I always enjoy hearing from my intrepid readers. Feel free to contact me at
